Types of Networks

There are different types of networks that are in existence with the common one being the network that is provided by your carrier. If you are on a smartphone or a modern device, this will be likely to be a 4G or LTE network and well capable of streaming video, making VoIP calls and so much more.

If you are connected to the fiber provided by your local internet service provider, then you are on an optical network and this is capable of vast downloads, fast connections, and tends to be much more secure in comparison to whatever is being provided by others out there. There are also the networks that we make for ourselves such as Bluetooth networks for when we need to share files between devices and Wi-Fi networks for when we need to share our internet connection with those that are in our vicinity.

All these networks all have varied features and characteristics that set them apart from each other. Some of the networks are known to be stronger and faster than others with some of the networks having limitations in terms of how much data they can let through them at any one instance which is known as the bandwidth that is provided by the network.

Modern networks are increasingly stronger and faster as compared to traditional networks that were known to be slow and heavy on moving the data between the components of the network. The modern networks have also been equipped with greater bandwidth which makes it possible to have huge files downloaded over the same connection and sustain a huge data transfer without losing a single component of the file being moved over the network.

Networks are known to connect many computers and devices that are in use all over the world and must be capable of securing the connections as well as the data transfers and most of them are designed in a layered manner which makes it possible to separate components of the network and ensure that the information is properly encoded before it can be moved to the destination.

Wireless networks and wired networks are also known to operate in different ways with the former making use of radio waves and the later physical connections to the devices that are being networked. Modern networks are known to be much more powerful and capable of reaching more devices as compared to older networks and this has increased the capabilities of the modern networks and enabled more companies and organizations to more information and work well in the digital world.

The networks are also designed in such a manner as to ensure that they can sustain a modern business and make it possible to securely make transactions and conduct business over the internet. Businesses have been known to arise out of secure and stable connections and they are held up by the strong connections that are between the devices. Modern networks are also more mature and secure which is the reason their users rely on these powerful networks.
